Become a Host Site for RSVP Volunteers
Contact the RSVP office in Hamilton (363-1102) or Polson (883-7284) or call toll free 1-800-266-4188 and arrange for a site orientation meeting.
Host Sites must be a non-profit organization, a public agency, or a medical facility. There is no charge to be a host site.
Your orientation meeting will include:
- A general overview of the program
- A review of our Memorandum of Understanding with sites
- An overview of what’s needed in a job description to attract volunteers
Benefits of joining RSVP as a Host Site:
- Free recruitment of volunteers based on your needs
- A way of tapping into the wealth of experience that older adults have to share with your organization and clients
- Supplemental accident and liability insurance for your volunteers
- Transportation or mileage reimbursement if your volunteers need it
- Support from the RSVP office for successful volunteer management.
Please note that RSVP will help recruit potential volunteers, but sites always have the right and obligation to determine whether volunteer placements are acceptable for their organization. A key responsibility of sites is to supervise volunteers who are working for them.

- Highly skilled volunteers are matched with community organizations that provide projects that will derive benefit from their expertise.
- RSVP interviews volunteers.
- Volunteers with specialized or advanced skills fill out “Job Skills” form.
- “Job Skills” emailed to sites who have requested notification of SOLVE opportunities.
- Sites who see potential for using the volunteer skills, reply with a description of job.
- Volunteer reviews job descriptions to determine interest.
- Volunteer and site supervisor meet to discuss details of project.
- Placement made based on mutual agreement by volunteer and site supervisor.
