Event Name: Assistant for writing Family History Biographies
Days - Monday
Times -11:00 a.m. one hour
Duration - Would like to start in May
Description of Job: Looking for a person or a team of people to act as a mentor/resource to help seniors create a family history as expressed in their own words. Instructions are available if wanted. There is access to a recorder and someone to transcribe the recordings if that is desired. We also have a video recorder available for VIDEO JOURNALING. We will then record on DVDs. Pictures and music added, too.

Station Name: Area VI Agency on Aging Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP)

Description of Job - Person willing to work with clients to recover funds from medical billing errors, fraud, etc. Being a good listener is essential to gather all the details of a case and hear the concerns of the client. Training is provided. Position involves serving elders in Western Montana and letting them know they have help when they need it. THE NEED IS INFREQUENT, BUT IMPORTANT

Station Name: Soup's On at the Wander Inn
Days - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Flexible
Times - Various jobs in shifts starting at 8:30 through 1:30

Description of Job- A volunteer can do this one day, or every day. The most important thing is that they communicate with Sandy, so she knows what to expect from you as a volunteer:
1.Sometime in the morning, usually between 8:30 & 9:00 two people to prepare soup for the meal.
2.One more person around 10:00 help set up the tables, set out the food, cut bread & deserts
3.One or two people begin the clean up around 1:00; this includes wash down the tables, put food away, vacuum carpet, sweep and mop kitchen floor. There are also two bathrooms to clean.

Station Name: Foster Grandparents Program

Description of Job - Volunteer to put together weekly mailing for Foster Grandparents Program. Will take 3-4 hours at the most, once a week.
Station Location: Ronan
Station Name: Lake County Council On Aging
Days - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Flexible
Times - As Needed
Duration - Ongoing as needed
Description of Job - Med Car Drivers dispatched out of St. Ignatius, Polson, Ronan. Volunteers will drive people needing transportation. Can be short trips or long trips. Vehicles are provided by station.

Station Name: Ronan City Library
Days - Flexible
Times - Flexible, not determined yet
Duration - On-going
Description of Job -Teddy Bears and Tots Program at the Ronan City Library wants to grow from once a month to once a week. Volunteers will interact with small children and their caregivers, modeling good reading methods. We have one volunteer, we would like a couple more so there can be flexibility. Michelle Fenger will train you on best practices.
